Message from the Founding Director

When the Australian College of Applied Psychology opened in 1983, it aimed to make the study of psychology more accessible to a wider range of people than the confines of traditional university teaching.

Since then, more than 4000 students have undertaken training programs with us and the College has become a major provider of applied psychology training in Australia, with an international reputation for excellence in educational outcomes and student service.

The College is now a registered provider of both higher education and vocational education and training. While this has expanded the range of academic pathways available to our students, we retain a unique approach to teaching and learning.
We are committed to providing:

In our community, social services are under increasing demand with fewer resources. Communities and individuals are looking for additional ways to cope with the pressures of daily life. At the same time, corporations are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of their employees' development needs. Across all aspects of business and society, there is growing recognition of the value of the skills with which the College equips our students.
