Diploma of Practical Counselling Skills
Post-Graduate Diploma in School Counselling
Allianz Associates (S) Pte Ltd provides a focus education path in counseling and psychology. Individuals can progress from certificate/diploma levels to higher education levels (BSc, Post-Graduate Diplomas, MSc, and PhD). Alternatively, individuals can proceed from the diploma to several qualifying stages to leading to the licensing stage as Certified International Professional Manager (CIPM) (see CIPMA pathway mentioned in our Management and Social Sciences Prospectus).
As the foundation level, we offer aspiring individuals the:
- Diploma of Practical Counselling Skills (Individuals who want an introductory start can opt to enroll in the Certificate of Practical Counselling Skills)
- Diploma of Psychology & Management
On completion of the counseling diploma, individuals can proceed as follows:
- Post-Graduate Diploma in School Counselling (additional modules have been added to allow transition from Diploma to Post-Graduate without obtaining a degree program), or
- Bachelor of Applied Social Sciences in Counselling.
Upon completion of the Post-Graduate Diploma in School Counselling, individuals can continue further levels.

Advancing from the Diplomas: Towards Higher Academic Qualifications
Those who complete the Diplomas can proceed to various Bachelors, Post-Graduate, and related degrees. Holders of our diplomas can proceed to B Applied Social Science in Counselling, Post-Graduate Diploma in School Counselling.
Holders of our diplomas can proceed to custom-blended (individualized) related programs in Community Health Services, Counseling Psychology, Environmental Health Services, Environmental Studies, Gerontology, Health Planning Services, Health Sciences, Hospital Administration, Mental Health Services, Nursing Administration, Occupational Health, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Management, School Psychology, Social Psychology, Social Services, and Vocational Rehab Counseling.
Program Structure
The programs are conducted in a modular basis, one module followed by the next.
Classes
In general, individuals attend from a couple of sessions per module per month with a few modules consisting of eight sessions per two months. The evening programme is 6:30-9:30 pm or otherwise an afternoon section on a weekend.
Assessment Methods
Individuals are assessed by written examinations, assignments, projects, or fieldwork placements.
Grade Scale
A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, D, and F correspond to 4.0, 3.75, 3.5, 3, 2.75, 2.5, 2, 1, and 0 grade point. In addition to the certificate, individuals will receive an original copy of transcript that provides the modules taken, credit hours assigned, grade point average, and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
Condition for a Pass
To be awarded the Diploma, individuals must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of a possible 4.0. For higher education levels, the passing CGPA is 2.5 out of 4.0. Individuals who failed a module exam can sit for the retake exam, at additional fees, and receive the standard 2.0 grade point for a pass. However, in any other situations of retake, the higher grade point is selected.
A CGPA of 3.5 and higher represents Honours.
A CGPA of 3.80 and higher represents High Honours.
Recognition
Individuals who successfully complete program will be awarded the qualification and are entitled to use the designatory title after their names (e.g., Dip Counselling).
Admission Requirements
Applicants who completed secondary school or are adults with working experience. Appropriate qualifications need to progress or enroll in degree and higher education levels.
All individuals, regardless of English proficiency, must attend the Writing Skills workshop.
e-Library
For the Diploma in Practical Counselling Skills and the Post-Graduate Diploma in School Counselling, individuals will be provided a password to access the E-library. Emerald is an electronic Management Research Library Database, which includes resources of a management library available to all IPMA-registered individuals.
Study loan
Study loans are available from the Telecom Credit Co-operative (TCC) which offers special and attractive loan packages or the various banks that provide student education loans. Interested applicants may contact TCC a, RHB Bank and Maybank.
